So busy weekend. I'm not even sure where to start. So I'm just going to go one day at a time.

Saturday:
I drove to Las Vegas and picked Stacy up from the airport. From there we went to her co-workers wedding at Cesar's Palace and then to the Cosmopolitan hotel for the dinner.

Here's a pic of us wandering around Cesar's Palace. After a few unsuccessful selfie attempts, a nice gentlemen offered to help us out.

The wedding was beautiful and the dinner was amazing. Stacy had never been to Vegas before, but I think I was more disappointed that she couldn't spend more than a few hours there than she was. We got to see a little of the strip walking from the parking garage, to the wedding, and then to the dinner.

There one of the wedding guests recognized Stacy from High School (he then said he remembered me too, but I'm thinking that was a lie, lol). After dinner we gassed up my truck pulled some sweatpants on and drove back to LA.

Sunday aka THE BIG DAY!:
Dapper Day at Disneyland was a blast. Just driving to the park we saw so many people dressed up and looking amazing.

I tried to get a good picture of all the Dapper people on the Mark Twain boat. If you click the picture it should show you the larger version of it.

The dresses were gorgeous and the men looked so handsome. Since we were Captain Hook and Mr. Smee we stopped every Peter Pan we saw walking by. Most of the pictures are on Stacy's camera but I was able to get a few with my phone. This group looked amazing. It also made me realize for next year I have got to work on my character poses, or just in general not look so awkward in photos.

Everyone we talked to was super nice and just as excited as we were. There were a couple of meet ups in the park but we decided to just do our own thing. It was insanely packed every where you went, so we were only able to do a few rides. We've both been to Disney a few times before so we were more there for the Dapper Day fun than the rides.

Once it got dark we called it a night and headed home. There are some preliminary plans to do this again next year and we already know what characters we'll be Disneybounding. Now that I have a much better idea of what I'm doing, I can't wait to put together an outfit for next year!!!

Monday:
After the all day walking around at Disney we were tired. So it was a lazier kind of day. We took our time getting up and dressed and then we headed to the La Brea tar pits. Stacy was excited because she remembered the scene from Volcano. I just kept thinking about the scene from My Girl 2 where Vada thought she had lost her mood ring in the tar pits.

It was a gorgeous day so we spent the morning walking around the area. About a mile away was the Farmer's Market which was huge and awesome, and we wish we had actually spent more time there, but we had to head onto the next part of our day.

We had tickets to see Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Getting to the studio was a little bit difficult, since Hollywood Blvd was already closed down while they set up for the Oscars. We started to get a little worried, looking at the long line that we weren't going to be able to get in, but we lucked out and were a few of the last people to get into the studio.

The show aired last night as the 2000th episode with the guests Josh Groban, Liam Neeson, and a guy from Animal Planet. I've been told that we actually ended up on television quite a bit in the background.

I had my parents DVR the episode so hopefully I get to see it. It was so much fun.

After that, we did the complete tourist thing and marveled at the celebrity hand and footprints outside Grauman's Chinese Theater. Stacy said I had to get a picture taken with one of them, so I found the Harrison Ford and Star Wars squares.

Tuesday aka Today:
We made a quick stop at Venice Beach, just to snap a few pictures before I took Stacy to the airport.

Now... I have to pack. I applied to those jobs in Austin not really expecting to hear anything back. Well, I did yesterday. As we were driving to La Brea Tar Pits I got a call from one of the news stations. They want me to come in for an interview. So I need to pack for my flight on Thursday and my interview on Friday. If I get this job, I'll be saying goodbye to California. I've missed Texas a lot, but I also love being in California. On one hand it feels like the door to the life I wanted in California is closing and on the other hand it feels like maybe I just don't know anything at all. So I'm excited, but I'm trying not to get too excited. There's a lot of things that will have to be figured out if I get the job and there's a lot of things that I just don't want to have to figure out if I don't get this job. Everything is just so up in the air.

I'm happier more than ever that this was the weekend that Stacy decided to come visit. This was the perfect weekend if it turns out I'm going to have to say goodbye to California. It might just be my farewell tour and I don't think it could have been any better if we had planned that out.
